An online orientation is also available so you can begin the program without leaving your home.
ITCDC’s Community Assistance, Resources, and Employment for Seniors (CARES) program provides a range of services that target seniors, particularly those living on Atlanta’s Westside. ITCDC CARES promotes useful opportunities through work experience readiness training and community service. It also assists participants in gaining full or part-time, un-subsidized employment.
Seniors:
- can receive workforce readiness training through Westside NET, Integrity’s 2-week long, job readiness program. Classes are currently being offered online;
- are also eligible to receive hard skills training through the Westside Works program;
- can gain digital literacy with online learning and testing provided through a partnership with Northstar Digital Literacy; and
- can also receive financial literacy training through a partnership ITCDC has with On The Rise Financial Center.
Once training is completed, our Case Managers can match you with an employer so that you can gain valuable work experience!
Westside seniors are also eligible to receive free lawn care services at their homes!
